Biography[]

James appeared in "Evil Boyfriend", posing as a foreign exchange student at Beverly Hills High. After failing to steal an invisibility liquid from a top secret military installation, he manipulated Samantha into stealing it for him, attempting to kill Alexandra and Clover.

Alex and Clover caught up to the duo and forced James to reveal himself as the true villain. He hurt Sam's feelings by saying "I'd never date someone so pathetic." Samantha felt betrayed and said, "You're not a criminal, you're my boyfriend", showing denial.

After revealing his plan, he drank the invisibility serum and became invisible to abduct the President in Washington D.C. while the girls pursued him. James successfully found the President and as he was confronted by the girls, he took the President hostage by forcibly making him drink the invisibility serum and escaping. The girls manage to fight him in the fountain while he is still invisible and his naked body is translucent. He is ultimately defeated by the spies in combat. At the end of the episode, Jerry arrives with the antidote to make James visible again which is administered while Clover and Sam hold him back. After Samantha calls him pathetic like he called her when he thought his plan was reaching fruition, James is arrested and led away to a WOOHP van to be sent to prison.

He made a cameo in Season 4 episode "Evil Jerry" as one of the prisoners trying to escape from WOOHP prison.

Trivia[]

  • James' role as a villain is similar to Dr. Sebastian Caine from the 2000 movie, "Hollow Man" as James drinks an invisibility liquid in order to abduct the president himself while he is being pursued by the spies. Interestingly, James becomes naked when he's invisible while taking the US President's hostage much very similar to Sebastian as "Hollow Man". When James became invisible, his naked body is seen translucent when being pursued and been caught by the spies. Just like Sebastian's invisible naked body is shown in a mist while knocking Matt on the ground.
  • Ian James Corlett, who voiced him, also voiced Elwood P. Harvey in "Littlest Pet Shop" and Mega Man in his self-titled animated 1994-1996 series. He is also the voice of Coconuts in "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" and Cyrus in "Sonic Underground".
